Newfound Obsession With Jumpsuits...

Jumpsuit - New Look // Sandals - ASOS // Hat - Accessorize // Bag - Mulberry

For me, the jumpsuit is the dresses' lazier cousin for the summer. They're literally the easiest thing to pull on if you want to look like you've thought about your outfit but you actually CBB and there isn't the whole 'legs out' annoyance... ok I'm just gonna say it - it's like being a toddler and I friggin' love it.

Ok the whole toilet sitch is jarring and unavoidable (unless you just don't drink all day but I wouldn't recommend that in the sunshine, kids) but I'm willing to get past that.

This gem is from New Look and was a steal at just over £20. Just think, that's basically a whole outfit (minus shoes) for £20. Crazy. Pop on a hat and sandals and you have the whole 'oh I just threw this together' look, 'cos lets face it no one really wants to look like they've tried too hard.

Denim x Tartan x Denim

Jacket - Topshop // Shirt - Topshop // Pinafore - Primark
Sunnies - Topshop // Boots - Office
Bag - Mulberry

Double denim. Personally this trend has never offended me but I know a lot of people detest it. I get that it can look like a throwback to the 90s if done incorrectly, but I think as long as it’s worn with conviction, you’re fine. By this I mean if you look like you’re unsure of what you’re wearing others will be too.

I’m not sure of the official double denim dos and don’ts but my theory is that it’ll always be likely to work more when you’re wearing two different colour washes – only the brave should try matchy-matchy double denim in my opinion.

Also these are my favourite sunglasses ever, I think. I literally feel so retro wearing them... and they’re rose gold – swoon.

WIWTW #10

Jumper – Primark // Skirt – ASOS // Necklace – Diva @ Miss Selfridge
Bag – Mulberry // Boots – Topshop

You know when you think ‘It's autumn, let me pull on the black tights and big jumper…’ but the weather has other ideas? Yeah that was me on this precise day and as I type this I’m sitting freezing in a cap-sleeve blouse. Brilliant.

Cropped.

Top - H&M // Skirt - ASOS // Bag - Mulberry
Shoes - Office // Necklace - Topshop
Rings - ASOS

Can we just take a moment to appreciate my ankle tan? LOLZ. This is clearly what happens when you  wear skinny ankle grazers and sandals as your staple summer attire.

I'm so normally not a flash of stomach kinda gal, but I'm really starting to appreciate the whole (slightly) cropped top and high-waisted skirt combo - especially with a good a-line skirt. I'm still wary of the crop top x high-waisted jeans thing though. I'm definitely a but too hippy to pull it off, I think only a select few could, really.

I'm still trying to wear these loafers in. I got them from my big sister for my birthday last December but they are still a bitch to wear for longer than a few hours. Why can't it just be simple?

Dotty.

Dress - Miss Patina @ Topshop // Sunglasses - Marks and Spencer
Watch - Michael Kors // Purse - Mulberry // Necklace - Urban Outfitters
Lipstick - MAC lipliner in Brick

Hey Girlies!

So I've fallen in love with this dress, my mum actually picked it up from Topshop for herself and was going to bring it back but I grabbed it before she could!

I love me a cute dress with a good collar. I don't get to rock a peter pan collar because of my chesty area so a statement collar that flatters my boobage is always a win for me. Plus as soon as I saw it, it reminded me of something the gorgeous Liv from What Olivia Did would wear, so I was all over it.

I wore this out running errands with my mum and then to lunch the other day and because she drove I slipped my phone and lipliner into my purse and I was good to go. I always carry an unnecessarily large bag or fill my satchel to death so it was nice to travel light for once!

Bright Pink and Breezy

Dress - Topshop // Scarf - Zara // Sandals - Primark
Necklace - Primark // Watch - Michael Kors
Bag - Mulberry

Hello Peoples!

Now, I've never been much of a scarf gal. I wear them out of necessity in the winter and have been known to sport one to cover a mark on a much-loved top, but to accessorise an outfit... nope not so much!

However, since snapping up this bright beauty in the Zara sale for £9.99, I've worn it the death! I've even planned outfits around it. Crazy.

And worst of all now I want more scarves in a variety of colours! FML.

Shoulder Bang.

Jumper - River Island // Jeans - Topshop
Bag - Mulberry // Shoes - ASOS // Watch - Michael Kors
Bracelets - ASOS

Hi Girlies!

I think I may have found my new favourite jumper. I got this in the River Island January sale I've learnt it at least once a week every single week. It was only £10 and I fell in love with the (what I like to call)  shoulder 'bang' detail, and the salmon pink colour is to die for!

In other news I have to stop spending money. Pronto. It's becoming a real problem here.

Camo.

Jacket - Urban Outfitters // Top - Primark // Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Office (seen better in my last post here) // Bag - Mulberry
Bracelet - ASOS // Watch - Michael Kors // Ring - Topshop

Hey Girlies!

I'm trying to stick to my New Years 'to-do list' and blog twice a week this year so I thought I'd show you an absolute steal I picked up in the Urban Outfitters sale.

This jacket was originally £95. I don't think I would have bought it for that price, it's so thin! For £95 I would expect an almost Zara quality jacket. But when I looked at the sale tag and it said £20, I literally snatched it up! It's one of those jackets you can just throw over jeans and a tee to make an outfit. Love.

I also need to get another pair of these Topshop Jamie jeans, as I've been wearing these pretty much everyday. My Topshop spending ban will be temporarily be revoked. Dangerous.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Studs and Stripes

Jumper - Primark // Denim Shirt - Vintage (Customised, Studs from Ebay)
Disco Pants - American Apparel // Shoes - Bank
Bag - Mulberry // Rings - Topshop & Primark

I permanently borrowed the denim shirt I'm wearing from my mum, it's sleeveless and has a huge bleach stain down one side, so I had no clue how to style it, but I knew I had to keep it. One reason: I friggin' love the collar, the tips are so pointed, I knew I wanted to make something of them so I studded it with studs I picked up from Ebay for cheap cheap.

The jumper I'm wearing is mega old from Primark, but they've brought it back this A/W in different colours. I've got my eye on the cream and blue one...

Hope you all have a good Friday (TGIF and all that), although I have work tomorrow, I'm so excited to see James Bond tonight with the parents!

One Dress, Two ways...

Dress - Topshop

Outfit 1
Jacket - Zara // Bag - Mulberry // Shoes - Topshop // Ring - Primark

Outfit 2
Denim Shirt, Necklace, Boots, Bag - All Topshop // Watch - Michael Kors // Ring & Tights - Primark

Hey girlies,

I bought this sleeveless shirt dress in the Topshop sale on an impulse as it was, a.) half price and b.) soooo pretty! but I neglected to think a.) I don't own much white because I'm extremely clumsy and b.) I'll probably never wear it...

I haven't worn it.

But that's only because I was scared, scared I'd stain it, scared I wouldn't find anything in my wardrobe to wear with it and scared it's a bit of a one season wonder. So I thought I'd alleviate my fears by dedicating a blogpost to it, to prove to myself that I can wear it! And although I 100% will spill something on this at some point in time, for now I'll enjoy it's versatility!

The Sun Shone For A Day.

Shirt - Primark // Jeans - Topshop // Shoes - Office
Bag - Mulberry // Watch - Michael Kors // Necklace - H&M

Hey Lovelies,

A quickie outfit post for you!

This picture was taken last week during the brief moment of sun we were graced with here in London. I know we say it every year but seriously, this is mean to be summer, somebody please take me back to Turkey! In fact, this time last week we were at the airport waiting to come home :( where does the time go!!!?

I had a bit of a splurge over the weekend and actually filmed a little haul video of my buys, as it made more sense than taking photos of everything, so I'm going to post that at some point this week.

For now though I'm going to pop in my Gossip Girl season 2 box set and watch with some cookies and wine. Yaay me :) hope you're having as crazy a night as I am!

OOTD: Bank Holiday Monday

Jumper / Ring - Topshop
Sleeveless Shirt - Primark
Skirt/ Cuff / Necklace - H&M
Boots - Office
Bag - Mulberry

Hello my loves,

Super quick outfit post today (tonight)!

This was my bank holiday Monday outfit. I went to one of my mums cousins for dinner as it was his 50th birthday and had a lovely, relaxed day; a lot of it was spent reading One Day on the motorway, (I'm really getting into that book now!)

I actually changed my boots after these pics were taken, as I preferred the way my Topshop ambush boots looked with the outfit.

However I LOVE these boots! I loved them from last year but just couldn't pay £80 for them. But I was in Westfield Stratford the other week and saw them in the sale for £35! I literally couldn't buy them quick enough!

I've been on full-on aunty duty these past two days and I've actually loved it, doing the school run, cooking etc.. but I'm so knackered, so i'm about to roll right into bed now!

Toodles!

OOTD - Slubby Wednesdays

Jumper - Topshop // Shorts - Primark // Clock Ring - Accessorize
Jacket - Topshop // Bag - Mulberry // Shoes - Office
(Bracelets are an assortment of gifts from abroad)

Sometimes there are days when you absolutely can't be arsed to squeeze into a pair of skinnies or some delicate blouse. For me, yesterday was that day, however, if I'm at home all day, I still prefer getting dressed rather than just beng in my p.js, it make me feel more motivated, even if it's into a massive jumper and leggings, or in the case of yesterday, some slouchy shorts and a slubby jumper (unless its Christmas/ the weekend/ I'm ill).

This jumper is my absolute fave at the moment I've worn it to death, but it's just so comfy and easy to throw on with anything! It was £26 and I'd say I wear it about twice a week whether it's out and about or just around the house, so it's totally worth it! The shorts I bought forever ago from Primark and were about a tenner and they're also super easy to wear throughout the year.

I did my nails again yesterday as I don't have work for about two weeks (yaaay!). I'm still loving painting my ring fingers with a sparkly top coat, so I painted them a deep plum/Black by O.P.I called 'Siberian Nights', with the sparkly top coat Rimmel London's '500 Disco Ball'.

When I popped out in the day I just slipped on my old Topshop suede jacket with my Mulberry 'Roxanne'.

Hope you're having a fab evening guys,

My Friend Alexa

Blouse - Primark / Vest- Gap / Jeans - Topshop
Bag - Mulberry / Brogues - Office / Watch - Folli Follie

Hello everyone!

Thought I’d take a little breakie from my essay to do a quick blogpost – and take my mind off of everything and anything to do with Frankenstein for like, two minutes.

So I’ve decided to introduce you to my mate Alexa! She’s a great friend to me, handy, neutral, durable. Of course I’m talking about my gorgeous Mulbs!

I got this bag about two years ago now and it is without doubt one of my favourites! I actually bought this myself, but being a 17-year-old frivolous spendthrift I didn’t really think about the cost so mum lent me half of the money and I paid her back the balance in regular intervals. (Doh!)

Ahhh being the poor uni student I am now, I wish I had that kind of money to blow on anything (sob). However I don’t regret buying my little acquaintance as she has brought me much happiness throughout the years! This is the outfit I wore the other day on a little lunch date with my mumsy, on which I bought some gorgeous new lipsticks, (a review will follow in due course).

Anyhow, I better be getting back to the ol’ essay, so have a lovely evening guys!
