Newfound Obsession With Jumpsuits...

Jumpsuit - New Look // Sandals - ASOS // Hat - Accessorize // Bag - Mulberry

For me, the jumpsuit is the dresses' lazier cousin for the summer. They're literally the easiest thing to pull on if you want to look like you've thought about your outfit but you actually CBB and there isn't the whole 'legs out' annoyance... ok I'm just gonna say it - it's like being a toddler and I friggin' love it.

Ok the whole toilet sitch is jarring and unavoidable (unless you just don't drink all day but I wouldn't recommend that in the sunshine, kids) but I'm willing to get past that.

This gem is from New Look and was a steal at just over £20. Just think, that's basically a whole outfit (minus shoes) for £20. Crazy. Pop on a hat and sandals and you have the whole 'oh I just threw this together' look, 'cos lets face it no one really wants to look like they've tried too hard.

The pink coat with the fur, the (faux) fur

A pink coat. When this trend came about last autumn/winter I was so not about it, sticking steadfast to my parka for casual and my monochrome for slightly more presentable times. But then I saw this beauty in the Zara sale online this January and with a sweet £50 off I ordered it ASAP. I was finally in possession of a pink coat - just a year behind the trend. I love the versatility of this one; it dresses up a super-casj outfit and finished off a sweet/chic look. Here's how I'll wear it day and night.

DAY

Coat - Zara // T-Shirt - River Island // Jeans - Topshop
Hat - ASOS // Boots - New Look // Necklace - Gift

NIGHT

Top - H&M // Jeans - Topshop // Shoes - ASOS
Bag - Chanel

The Boot Edit

A bit of booty love here on the blog today. I genuinely live in ankle boots all year round but I am especially attached to them during the colder months (like any sane person would be!)

Surprise, surprise three of them are from Topshop but only one pair is new...ish so it's not as bad!

Tassels and Rips.

Vest - Topshop // Waistcoat - TJ Maxx (in Miami) // Jeans - Topshop
Boots - New Look // Bag - Chanel // Necklace - Topshop
Earrings - Topshop

I've joined the ripped jeans brigade. I resisted for so so long but I was forced to buy them. So here's the story, my dark wash jamie jeans were actually ripped and falling apart (but not in a cool way) so I went into Topshop to get a new pair, only to be told that that colour is a A/W colour! Sorry I didn't know blue jeans were only 'in' in Autumn... anywho, I needed another pair of jeans and wasn't going to leave without them, so I thought, why not try something new. I mean the quality of the jean is the same, just with rips to give my knees room to breathe, right? And, well, I fell in love...

On a side note, I swear that the weather cannot make it's mind up lately - one minute it's baking hot, the next I'm shivering under a brolly. Happy summertime, eh?

What I Wore - Scalloped Hem.

Jumper - Topshop (old) // Skirt - Topshop
Boots - New Look // Necklace - Diva @ Miss Selfridge
Sunnies - Topshop

Despite the beautiful sunshine we've had in England lately, it's not exactly been warm, has it? So while I'm willing to get my legs out for a couple of hours, my jumpers aren't being folded away just yet.

This skirt is one of those pieces that I saw, I loved, I pondered over, I decided I wanted, it sold out on online, I vowed to find it at all costs, I hunted it down and felt unrivalled joy once it was finally mine. While I seriously love it, this it the only way I'll wear it, with chunkier black pieces to off-set the girliness, and the fact that it's so very short.

OOTD - The Print Dress

Dress - Topshop // Boots - New Look // Bag - Vintage
Rings & Phone Case - ASOS // Sunnies - Topshop

Eeep! I can't even believe how long I haven't blogged for! Anywho onwards and upwards, I shan't bore with excuses and promises, but what better way to start back than with a springtime get-up?

I picked up this dress in the Topshop sale (sidenote - does anyone else think that half the things they see in sales they've never seen in the shop floor before? Strange). It was actually the only thing I bought; I'm getting really good at only getting one item in shops now, I no longer feel the need to go to the till with a mountain of stuff. (Hurrah!)

Anyway back to the dress - I love. I can already tell that it's going to be one of those things that I'm going to have to stop myself wearing more than once a week when it gets a bit warmer. Bring on the sunshine!

#WIWTW 4 - Motel Rocks

Skirt - Motel Rocks // Jumper - Forever 21 // Boots - New Look
Belt - Forever 21 // Necklaces (shortest to longest) Urban Outfitters, Accessorize, Topshop

Cornflour blue, is there a colour dreamier? That's why when the lovely team at Motel Rocks asked if I would like to pick something to wear to London Fashion Week, this skirt was the first beauty that caught my eye.

The colour is perfect for spring/summer but the black and grey patterns also makes it great to team with black tights and a jumper, which is exactly how I plan to wear it when I head to LFW next Tuesday. I'm so excited as it's my first fashion week where I'm going backstage! Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures to post on here.

#21

Dress - Asos // Bag - New Look
Shoes - Kurt Geiger

Hey girlies,

So my birthday was a week and a half ago and I'm now an old lady according to my nan. My 21st birthday was kind of amazing, a busy weekend of celebrations with my favourite peoples and a hell of a lot of cake.

I so badly wanted to share some of the celebrations on here but I kept forgetting my camera! (stoopid Keeks). So I thought I'd throw my b'day gladrags back on to show you the outfit I wore for my  night out with the girls.

As soon as I saw this dress, I started virtually planning the accessories around it. Because it has so much embellishment I didn't wear any jewellery and chose a bedazzled (yes I said bedazzled) silver clutch which was £10 in the New Look sale.

The shoes were also a steal in the Kurt Geiger sale £160 to £59 - I'm still in shock about that.

Also in shock that I'm 21; but I don't think I'll get over that until my next birthday.

Sugar-Coated Almond Shades

Both Jeans, Purple T- Shirt and Yellow Ballet Pumps - Topshop
Mint Green Sleeveless Blouse - H&M // Yellow Jumper - River Island
Nail Paint - Barry M // Mint Green/Dusty Pink Sleeveless Shirtdress - New Look

Spring is finally here. The days are getting longer, the trees are blooming and I even saw my first daffodil budding yesterday.

And with spring comes a winter clothing upheaval. Coats change to jackets; boots change to sandals and gone are the dark wintery blues, browns and greys to make way for the influx of colour for Spring/Summer. And this year it’s all about the pretty pastels shades and… I’m kind of loving it.

I’ve not always been a fan of pastel shades, I’ve always seen them as a bit too cutesy and preferred richer, deeper and bright shades, and pastel colours also remind me of sugar-coated almonds, which I hate! (I know, I'm weird). But this year I’ve started to warm to the sugary sweet shades that have filtered from the runway to the high street.

The above are some of my pastel picks from the high street this season so far. I actually have the mint green sleeveless blouse and I love it, it’s so versatile and inexpensive. However, my wardrobe isn’t brimming with pastel shades just yet, I’m slowly easing myself in, so I thought, what better place to start than the nails, so I decided to do a little pastel colour chart!

I can’t wait til the spring weather really kicks in, apart from the rain, I hate the rain...

Have a lovely evening girlies,

Floral&Lace Transformer

Kimono - New Look// Vest and Skirt - H&M
Ring - Topshop // Watch - Michael Kors

I love the intricacy of the lace trim and the delicate flower print of this Kimono/cardigan. I got it last year from the Limited Edition section of New Look, a place I don’t shop often, but I fell in love with the pretty delicacy of it.

With the short bat-wing-esque sleeves, I find I can’t really wear it out as much as I like because it doesn’t wear well under jackets, but it’s a great key piece (or as I like to call it, a transformer) to have in your wardrobe especially looking forward to Spring, as it can really change a boring outfit, such as the plain black vest and jersey skirt I’m wearing underneath. Having a few transformers in your wardrobe is handy if you have to economise your wardrobe as they’re great to mix&match and layer with the basics.

As a sidenote, recently I’ve been doing my make-up super simple, even leaving out the eyeliner on occasion and tried to just go for the ‘healthy glow’ look, and I’ve found that returning to my Bobbi Brown Port Rouge for Lips and Cheeks has achieved the best result. The one I’m wearing in the last picture is Cabo Coral 21 and I’ve definitely fallen back in love with it.

Hope you guys have a lovely evening! (It’s Friday tomorrow wahoooo!)

OOTD - Tassle Time

Waistcoat - New Look // Vest - H&M // Jeans - Topshop
Watch - Folli Follie // Stag Ring - Primark // Watch Ring - Accessorize
Rose Ring - Topshop

This is one of my favourite waistcoats to throw over a basic outfit, it jazz’s it up a treat. It’s a bit statment-y, yet super casual too, which I love.

I went for a quick spin around the Glades in Bromley this evening and picked up two treats that I will share with you all over the weekend!

This is an extra short blogpost today, I can hardly type with tiredness from research, reading etc… but expect a full on one on Sunday. Promise.

I’m off to eat Chinese and watch I’m a Celeb, happy times!
