Newfound Obsession With Jumpsuits...

Jumpsuit - New Look // Sandals - ASOS // Hat - Accessorize // Bag - Mulberry

For me, the jumpsuit is the dresses' lazier cousin for the summer. They're literally the easiest thing to pull on if you want to look like you've thought about your outfit but you actually CBB and there isn't the whole 'legs out' annoyance... ok I'm just gonna say it - it's like being a toddler and I friggin' love it.

Ok the whole toilet sitch is jarring and unavoidable (unless you just don't drink all day but I wouldn't recommend that in the sunshine, kids) but I'm willing to get past that.

This gem is from New Look and was a steal at just over £20. Just think, that's basically a whole outfit (minus shoes) for £20. Crazy. Pop on a hat and sandals and you have the whole 'oh I just threw this together' look, 'cos lets face it no one really wants to look like they've tried too hard.

Leopard Print and Red Lips

Sometimes the weather just calls for a floaty skirt. A warm day with a light breeze is all it takes for me to drag my beloved Whistles 'Carrie' skirt out from the back of the wardrobe - do you remember when they came out a few years back and literally everyone had one? When midis officially became a thing . Teaming it was a casj grey crop and a slick of red lippy created the smart/casual vibe I was after. Also my latest shoes steal had their first public outing and they are so so comfy - definitely worth a purchase if you can get your hands on them!

You Can't Touch This

Dress - Topshop // Earrings - Accessorize // Watch - Michael Kors

I'm so not a t-shirt dress kinda gal. While I've always wanted to be able to pull one off, I feel like they are for the svelte, gazelles of the world not big booty bitches like myself - they are rather shapeless. But when I saw this one in the Topshop sale, I could not resist - especially as it has one of my all time favourite song titles on the derriere.

I figured as this was in the sale I can totally rock it in the comfort of my own home/to casual occasions until I'm ready to take it to the streets without feeling total buyers guilt.

That 70s Skirt

Top - Topshop // Skirt - ASOS // Trainers - Converse
Earrings - Accessorize // Necklace - H&M

This skirt has been everywhere this season. Like, literally everywhere. The A-line denim button-through seems to be pretty much the 'it' shape for the summer and I'm all over it. I had my eye on this one from ASOS when I saw it in the magazine last issue and knew I had to have it. One thing I have to say is the quality on the material is so good, better than any I've seen on the high street, something I was not expecting for an online store.

The fit is super flattering however I feel obliged to warn you - this skirt is a rider, I'm constantly pulling it back down, I feel like if I didn't it would end up somewhere around my boobs.

Also a quick shout out to this jumper which I nabbed in the Topshop sale. It was the only one in my size in Topshop Stratford, just sitting there waiting for me.

I feel like this kind of outfit is perfect for this time of season, especially in the UK, and if it gets really cold again, I can just through on some tights and ankle boots.

The last of the summer... crop tops?

Top + Jeans + Jacket + Boots - All Topshop
Chain - Gift // Ear cuff - Accessorize

I’ve never really been that big on crop tops. No, seriously, not even in my Spice Girls super fandom period. But this summer I was so drawn to them and extremely into their waist-nipping abilities. You see being a big-booty one (that’s the kind way of saying it) and having not the smallest of chesticals, means that my waist is the one thing that shows that I am not in fact huge, so I should definitely show it off more often than I do.

Alas, the summer is over and the crop tops have to be folded away, but I couldn’t help pick this one up on a jaunt to Toppers. You see I think I can get away with it because it’s from the Topshop Tall range therefore shows the minimum amount of midriff, if any at all. With the Topshop Jamie jeans you get a flash of stomach but with the Jonis you don’t get any. I'll be trying to keep this one out 'til December...

P.s how beaut are my new autumn/winter boots? It’s love.

#WIWTW 4 - Motel Rocks

Skirt - Motel Rocks // Jumper - Forever 21 // Boots - New Look
Belt - Forever 21 // Necklaces (shortest to longest) Urban Outfitters, Accessorize, Topshop

Cornflour blue, is there a colour dreamier? That's why when the lovely team at Motel Rocks asked if I would like to pick something to wear to London Fashion Week, this skirt was the first beauty that caught my eye.

The colour is perfect for spring/summer but the black and grey patterns also makes it great to team with black tights and a jumper, which is exactly how I plan to wear it when I head to LFW next Tuesday. I'm so excited as it's my first fashion week where I'm going backstage! Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures to post on here.

What I Wore To Work #1

Top - H&M // Hat - Accessorize // Trousers - American Apparel
Boots - Topshop // Nails - Essie Mint Candy Apple

So I'm gonna try a new thing... work outfit posts. Having a lovely workmate who is also a blogger is super handy to take outfit posts for each other so hopefully if we can keep it up, there will be a few outfit posts up a week. (I mean, I'm gonna give it a good go). So from now on, pictures in any WIWTW posts (not a mouthful at all) will be taken by Sarah from The Fashion Ache. Check out her blog, it's amaze.

N.B I don't know why my disco pants look purple. The light's weird. Blame the light.

Toodles,

Slouch.

Cardigan and Jeans - Primark // Shirt -Vintage // Vest - Topshop // Green Bracelet - Gift // Spiked Bracelet - Asos // Necklace - Accessorize

I mean, every girl in England has/needs that slouchy hobo-esqe cardigan that they throw on for 'can't be asked days', don't they? I thought so. Well this is my new one, as my old one was breaking apart at an alarming speed, and I was basically one wear away for being mistaken for an actually hobo and being offered small change.

This one is super comfy and a steal at £14. I had my eye on one in Topshop that was over double the price but luckily spotted this one the same day.

It's basically like a blanket with sleeves. And what more could you want from a cardi on the drearier Autumn days?

A Mini Pinny.

Dress - Primark // Top - Topshop // Shoes - Aldo
Hat - Topshop // Necklace - Accessorize
Sunglasses - Topshop

Oh hai sun!

Nice to see you make an appearance for more than a day! Hurrah! This weather is making me more than a little bit excited for Wireless festival this weekend.

Anyways, the outfit. Now I never have been a shift/a-line dress kinda girl, having 'curves' and that, but something came over me when I saw this number hanging in Primark. It was the last size 12, and that's a sign right? (This is what I tell myself).

This outfit reminds me a bit of the ones I used to wear as a little girl, obviously sans hat and replace the black sunnies with a more pink and glittery pair, you could call this my homage to the re-emergence of the 90s trend.

Nerd.

Jumper - Primark // Glasses - ?? (Similar ones here) // Jeans - Topshop
Giraffe necklace - Topshop // Small Bicycle necklace - Accessorize

I’m a nerd, a nerd of the bookworm variety. I love reading so much I did a English literature degree, so it’s always surprised me that I’ve never needed glasses, not even reading glasses. These are just a pair of joke glasses I found lying around my house.

Saying that, I’ve always been intrigued by the way I look with glasses, I think that if I did ever need reading glasses, I’d go for the really geeky frames like these, but a bit smaller, some like the ones that Jess wears in New Girl, (I love that show!!).

My hair seems to want to be super unruly this week, so I thought the best thing for it was to stick it in the old hair doughnut which makes it look deceitfully neater!

I also thought I’d give this lipstick a try, it’s by Collection 2000 and is in the colour Ruby Red. My favourite Mac red lipstick has mysteriously disappeared (don’t you hate it when that happens?) and one of my besties got me this for my birthday. I lined my lips with my Mac lipliner then applied the lipstick. I’m really pleased with the finish of this lippy, it feels moisturising without being too shiny/glossy and doesn’t cling to dry bits, which is a plus in the winter.

I’m so tired right now I can’t believe I’m not in bed yet, I didn’t go to bed ‘til 2am and had to get up at 6am. Nightmare. So I’m signing off, getting into bed and putting in a Gossip Girl dvd.

Have a lovely evening/day depending on when and where you’re reading this!

Vintage Polka-dot.

Dress - Vintage Karen Millen // Denim Shirt - Primark

Bracelet - Accessorize // Ring - Topshop

Every once in a while, my lovely mum will utter the phrase “Does this fit you”, and it can only mean one of two things; she’s bought my something, or she’s found an old gem in her (seemingly endless) wardrobe. Sunday it was the latter, and I was thrilled when she held out this navy polka-dot halter-neck dress.

It’s vintage Karen Millen that she said she bought about 25 years ago, when Karen Millen was still a high street newbie, and I absolutely love it. I actually don’t own any halter-necks as I don’t think it’s the most flattering shape for my figure and I can’t wear any kind of normal bra with this dress because the back is sooooo very low, but I’ll make it work come Summer.

One way I thought I could style it, is with my trusty denim shirt, with the pale denim kind of in keeping with the ‘vintage-y’ look.

Anyway, while the weather is this cold in England, this little beauty shall be kept sheltered in my wardrobe until it’s a more suitable climate, but I can’t wait to give it an outing in a couple of months.

Hope you’re having a lovely evening sweets,

Peachy Keen

Blouse - Lefties // Jeans - Topshop // Shoes - French Sole
Necklace - Accessorize // Stag Ring + Owl Earrings - Primark

After my Outfit of the Night post that was literally about 95% Topshop, I’ve been more aware of just how much Topshop I wear, so I’m consciously trying to mix things up way more!

Ok, so my jeans are Topshop, but that’s it on the clothes front, I swear! I love the colour of these jeans, they don’t show true to colour in these photos, but they’re a purpley-brown colour, a great alternative to black.

The top is from that left-over shop called Lefties in Barcelona, where I also got my navy chunky knit cardi I wore here and here. This was a snip at 12 euros, but I think they sell similar ones over here in Topshop for a bit more.

These shoes are from French Sole and were a tad pricey at about £100, and if I’m being honest I hardly ever wear them! They are so lovely but pinch my feet so much because they’re a bit too small, and they didn't have the half size above in stock, so I bought them with a view of stretching them out, but I don’t wear them enough.

I’m still trying to get through Wuthering Heights for my exam next week, I wish just watching the new film at the cinema would suffice…

P.s I wrote an article for Verge student magazine’s website, you can take a look at it here

Have a lovely night chums!

OOTD - Slubby Wednesdays

Jumper - Topshop // Shorts - Primark // Clock Ring - Accessorize
Jacket - Topshop // Bag - Mulberry // Shoes - Office
(Bracelets are an assortment of gifts from abroad)

Sometimes there are days when you absolutely can't be arsed to squeeze into a pair of skinnies or some delicate blouse. For me, yesterday was that day, however, if I'm at home all day, I still prefer getting dressed rather than just beng in my p.js, it make me feel more motivated, even if it's into a massive jumper and leggings, or in the case of yesterday, some slouchy shorts and a slubby jumper (unless its Christmas/ the weekend/ I'm ill).

This jumper is my absolute fave at the moment I've worn it to death, but it's just so comfy and easy to throw on with anything! It was £26 and I'd say I wear it about twice a week whether it's out and about or just around the house, so it's totally worth it! The shorts I bought forever ago from Primark and were about a tenner and they're also super easy to wear throughout the year.

I did my nails again yesterday as I don't have work for about two weeks (yaaay!). I'm still loving painting my ring fingers with a sparkly top coat, so I painted them a deep plum/Black by O.P.I called 'Siberian Nights', with the sparkly top coat Rimmel London's '500 Disco Ball'.

When I popped out in the day I just slipped on my old Topshop suede jacket with my Mulberry 'Roxanne'.

Hope you're having a fab evening guys,

H&M Spend.

Blouse & Fur Collar - H&M // Skirt - Asos
Jacket - Urbancode @ Asos // Bicycle Necklace - Accessorize
Cat Ears ring - Cheap Frills // Roses ring - Topshop

Ok, so it’s not exactly the weekend as I promised but it’s as close as I could get! Just wanted to show you a couple of bits I picked up at H&M at the end of last week.

The first is this black blouse, Which I think was just waiting for me! It’s sheer polyester (obvs you’d need to wear a black/pretty bra or vest underneath) with small, clear plastic buttons. When I saw it, it was just hanging up on the wrong rail and I couldn’t see where it originally came from. It' a size 16, and being a size 12 I wasn’t holding out much hope in the changing room. However, It fit just the way I wanted, as I prefer my blouses loose and long, and a size 12 would have been too snug and fitted. And this way I can wear it tucked into a skirt or shorts or over leggings without my tush hanging out! It was £14.99 and really reminders me of an American Apparel shirt which would cost twice the price.

The second thing I bought was this fur collar, and I love it! It was £12.99 and honestly livens up every outfit. I love the way it looks with my caramel leather jacket, it makes it seem that little bit more luxurious! If there was such a competition as ‘purchase of the month’, this would be a strong contender as, for £12.99 it really gives your wardrobe *cringe cliché alert* ‘a whole new lease of life’.

In other news, I bought my first Christmas presents yesterday, the countdown begins…

OOTD - Tassle Time

Waistcoat - New Look // Vest - H&M // Jeans - Topshop
Watch - Folli Follie // Stag Ring - Primark // Watch Ring - Accessorize
Rose Ring - Topshop

This is one of my favourite waistcoats to throw over a basic outfit, it jazz’s it up a treat. It’s a bit statment-y, yet super casual too, which I love.

I went for a quick spin around the Glades in Bromley this evening and picked up two treats that I will share with you all over the weekend!

This is an extra short blogpost today, I can hardly type with tiredness from research, reading etc… but expect a full on one on Sunday. Promise.

I’m off to eat Chinese and watch I’m a Celeb, happy times!

Ambushed

Boots - Topshop / Jumper - Primark / Jeggings - Topshop
Watch - Folli Follie / Necklace - Accessorize / Ring - Primark

The ambushing I’m referring to is in fact these gorgeous ankle boots I copped from Topshop! I wanted them ages ago when they were first brought out but they sold out so quickly. So when I saw them this time around I thought I had to snap them up fast. With a student discount they were £67.50, and if you work out the cost per wear (£67.50 ÷ 1,000,000) they are such a good buy particularly as they go with almost everything.

This jumper is also another favourite purchase for me as it was only a tenner from Primark! I find myself throwing it on all the time and I know it will be handy around Christmas with its festive colour. I bought mine a size up so I could get that snuggly feeling without it being to fitted – I prefer my knitwear loose.

Hope you all had a nice weekend,

Love Keeks xo
