#WIWTW 4 - Motel Rocks

Skirt - Motel Rocks // Jumper - Forever 21 // Boots - New Look
Belt - Forever 21 // Necklaces (shortest to longest) Urban Outfitters, Accessorize, Topshop

Cornflour blue, is there a colour dreamier? That's why when the lovely team at Motel Rocks asked if I would like to pick something to wear to London Fashion Week, this skirt was the first beauty that caught my eye.

The colour is perfect for spring/summer but the black and grey patterns also makes it great to team with black tights and a jumper, which is exactly how I plan to wear it when I head to LFW next Tuesday. I'm so excited as it's my first fashion week where I'm going backstage! Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures to post on here.

What I Wore: Motel Christmas Blogger Party

Jumper - ASOS // Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Topshop

Hi Guys!

So on Monday I was lucky enough to be invited to the Motel Rocks Christmas Blogger Party at Floripa. I was so excited but nervous for two reasons, one because, what would I wear?! And two, I was going alone so I was obviously going to be a lonely loner sulking about in the corner of the room.

Well in regards to the outfit, I thought that it would better to play it safe-ish with jeans and my ambush boots, especially as I was going alone, and teamed it with my new carpet jumper, I call it this because it reminds me of an Ikea rug but I love it. The sheer detail make it less carpet-y, almost makes the 'carpet look' sexy (I said almost).

And about the whole loner thing, it actually wasn't that bad, I spoke to some of my favourite bloggers,   in the queue outside got to know the lovely Joy waiting for my eyelashes to be applied for before heading to the photobooth and even hit up again with some more of my fave bloggers and youtubers. Everyone was so lovely, being a loner wasn't even an issue.

To cap the evening off, on top of the scrummy festive cocktails and nibbles, being one of the first 50 guests inside, I got a free dress from the Motel Christmas Party range, I chose the 'Wild One' sequin bustier midi dress. It's so gorgeous, like the rest of the dresses, so if you're on the look out for something for the party season, I would definitely check them out.

Thank you Motel for a brilliant evening and for my early christmas pressie! :)

Motel Rocks AW12 Press Day

Hey Lovelies!

So today I had the pleasure of popping along to the Motel Rocks A/W Press Day.

Motel is a brand I always check out when I’m looking for something special or if I want an outfit with a bit of ‘wow’ so I was super excited to see what they had to offer in the A/W collection with Christmas, New Year and *cough cough* a little old 21st birthday coming up in December, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed.

I was greeted by the lovely Natasha and Selina from the Motel team, and Selina kindly talked me through the whole collection, explaining where the inspirations for each aspect of the collection came from and the different cuts and silhouettes.

An eclectic mix of prints and patterns.

I love this optical illusion dress! It’s such a flattering pattern, it gives the illusion of curves in the right places.

The new collection is full of so many great prints in Motel’s signature styles such as the Gina dress and Jordan jeans.

The Jordan jeans get a winter garden makeover.

I think this digital print is such a cute twist to winter floral, especially on the flirty silhouette of the Pearl dress.

The ultimate wow high-waisted leopard print shorts.

The baroque embroidery on this velvet Gina dress gives it such an added opulence.

It wouldn’t be a Christmas collection without sequins and sparkle!

A 90s grunge take on purple, the colour of the season FYI ;)

Let you wild side out, festive style.

This set reminded me of mermaids, so cute and aquatic!

Maybe my favourite high-street leather jacket ever?

Sequins galore! Also the dress on the left is friggin’ amazing, I’m pretty sure Selina may have thought I was a bit weird as I kept touching it, but believe me, you would too! So basically it’s a three way dress, you can push all the sequins one way to make it gold, the other way to make it blue, or different ways to make it a combination of both colours like it is in the picture. It’s not called the Magic dress for nothing!

Indie jewellery brand Rock n Rose, available on the Motel Website

I’m so impressed with this collection and can’t wait for it to hit the web in September.

What do you think of the new collection?
