Wishlist... Hell For Black Leather.

So despite many of us trying to cling on to the sunshine with the tips of our brightly varnished talons, it’s time that we embrace autumn with a welcome grimace and wrap ourselves against the cold in the A/W trends we saw hit the catwalks for this season.

One of my favourite things to wear in A/W, (ok, make that all year round), is leather. Cropping up in so many designers collections and trends; punk, rebel, ‘boy meets girl’ etc, leather adds some serious sex appeal to any outfit and you can add depth to an outfit by layering textures, and if you keep it black, well that’s as classic as it is badass.

I find mixing leather with different softer fabrics works the best, head to toe leather is for the extremely brave, most people cannot pull this off without looking like a gimp, and most people do not want to look like a gimp… at least not in public. For instance a faux leather bustier would look gorgeous layered under a sheer or lace tunic or shirt loosely tucked into a high-waisted skirt.

On the other end of the spectrum and a true indulgence of a piece is this gorgeous body-con jersey and faux leather dress by Cédric Charlier. Sexy and classic, team it with metallic accessories like a gold statement necklace and heels. Cédric Charlier’s gorgeous collection can be found on one of my new favourite websites Avenue 32.

To bring the leather effect to everyday work wear pair this Dotty P leather effect panelled top with tapered black trousers or skinny jeans. And for everyday wear this T by Alexander Wang leather sleeved jacket is perfect to throw on to toughen up a winter floral dress.

These faux leather trousers and a delicate cami would make a perfect date outfit, especially with some leather court shoes to complete the look. Kurt Geiger never fail to impress in the boot department and these are just one of the four (ok, six) pairs I have my eye on. Though I’m still iffy about embracing the over the knee boots, the knee-high boot train is something I’m ready to get aboard.

How will you be embracing leather this season?

Simple and Sparkle.

Vest - Primark // Jeans - Topshop // Watch - Michael Kors // Bag - Chanel // Sunglasses - Marks & Spencer // Shoes - Kurt Geiger

When it's this nice outside, the last thing I want to do is throw on layers of clothes or loads of accessories; sometimes it has to be a simple vest and jeans situation. So what better to accessorise with than Chanel and this new beauts of a pair of shoes?

I'm so fussy when it comes to shoes so I never suggest anyone get them for me as a present - just ask my boyfriend, I think I traumatised him into never wanting to ever buy me a pair! - but my cousin truly succeeded with these beauties! They add just the right amount of sparkle to the most simple outfits. I think it's love.

That Grey Jumper.

Jumper - Lyle & Scott // Jeans - Zara
Shoes - Kurt Geiger // Bag - Chanel // Earrings - ASOS
Rings - Topshop

Hey lovelies,

Is it just me or do any of you have that jumper that you wear with anything? For me it's definitely this jumper it's a mens medium so it's slouchy and oversized but not too much; and is so comfy. It's one of those that I can just throw on; simple as, no thought required.

Teaming it with my favourite platforms and favourite bag, I think I've created a new go-to smart casual outfit.

p.s Happy belated Valentine's day :)

#21

Dress - Asos // Bag - New Look
Shoes - Kurt Geiger

Hey girlies,

So my birthday was a week and a half ago and I'm now an old lady according to my nan. My 21st birthday was kind of amazing, a busy weekend of celebrations with my favourite peoples and a hell of a lot of cake.

I so badly wanted to share some of the celebrations on here but I kept forgetting my camera! (stoopid Keeks). So I thought I'd throw my b'day gladrags back on to show you the outfit I wore for my  night out with the girls.

As soon as I saw this dress, I started virtually planning the accessories around it. Because it has so much embellishment I didn't wear any jewellery and chose a bedazzled (yes I said bedazzled) silver clutch which was £10 in the New Look sale.

The shoes were also a steal in the Kurt Geiger sale £160 to £59 - I'm still in shock about that.

Also in shock that I'm 21; but I don't think I'll get over that until my next birthday.
