Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in 108

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in 108

Hello My Lovelies!

So as a belated birthday present from my lovely big sister I got my hands on my first Chanel lipstick! Having dipped my foot into the designer make up pool with foundations and the occasional pinch from my mum's make up bag, I decided that it was about time I actually owned my very own little piece of luxury other than just a base.

I've heard such good things about Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick I decided it was the formula I had to have (plus it has that amazing clicky open/close function!) and after manically swatching every shade on the Chanel counter, I finally chose the shade 108.

I knew that I wanted it to be a 'my lips but better' shade, as, if it was a brighter colour it would be one of those things that I cherish and take out to look at every now and again, but never actually wear.

I'm so in love with this lipstick, the formula is creamy and moisturising and sits on your lips comfortably without being balm-like. It was such a perfect present for me, as, although I'll spend ridiculous money on clothes and shoes; lipstick isn't something I splash out on. So this is my little treasure!

What's your little make up luxury?

My Birthday Suit

Hat/Coat/Jeans/Boots - Topshop // Fur Collar - H&M

I've taken a break from the 12 Days of Christmas Presents series to show you my birthday suit. Ok, so I'm not naked, but this is what I wore on my birthday lunch with the mother, so technically it is my birthday suit, right?

I had such a lovely birthday, I'm still feeling a little tender-headed as I type. I had lunch with my mum, then had a couple drinks getting ready and finally finished the day with a night out.

Anyways, this does kind of tie in with the christmas presents series as the hat was bought in the Topshop sale with some money from my gift-cards. I'm not usually a hat person but I just loved this one, and the fact it was half-price sealed the deal!

Underneath the coat I just wore a mustard coloured blouse from Miss Selfridge, but I had my coat on for the most part as it was so bloody cold; and I carried my Mulberry Alexa, which I wore in this post.

So with Christmas and my birthday over for another year, as usual I look to NYE, so Happy New Year! Hope you have good one!

The 12 Days of Christmas Presents - Day 1

Christmas has come and gone, and now all we can all do is enjoy all our lovely presents. I was so pleased with all my gifts this year, I thought I'd do a Christmas series on my 12 fave presents. Everyday for the next 12 days I'm going to blog about 12 of my fave presents. Simples.

Today's present is from my lovely eldest sister and is a Moroccanoil gift set. I was so shocked when I opened this, as I was dead sure it was going to be shower gel/bubble bath/soap. I fell in love with Moroccanoil when I was given the intense hydrating mask as a part of my 'being a good intern' goodie bag, it really did helped to hydrate my hair, and the tub lasts for ages as you just use a 50 pence size dollop for your whole hair.

Clearly my sister was listening to my ravings and remembered and I'm super excited to try the extra volume shampoo and conditioner, as my hair can be a little flat sometimes. So I will report back on the effectiveness once I've used them a couple of times.

In the meantime you can browse the Moroccanoil range here.

Have a lovely evening guys, I will be back tomorrow with gift two.

Faux Christmas

Seen as it's Christmas day, I thought I'd post a few pics of the Christmas dinner my friends and I had at my lovely friend Emma's house on Monday night. Emma and I cooked and decorated with a little help from my other friendino Tenishia and it definitely made me appreciate how much effort goes into cooking a Christmas dinner!

It was so lovely seeing everyone again, with us all being off/back from uni and we all ate, drank and played games (getting a little over-competitive at times).

It was a gorgeous evening, however it was a little bit marred by the fact that night I was violently sick with the Norovirus - vomming all that delicious dinner back up - lovely.

I have to say, today's dinner trumped the one we cooked tenfold, and I got a tad spoilt with gifts, hopefully with some more to come for my birthday in 4 days (eeeeeeeek!), which I'll post about asap!

Hope you all had a beautiful Christmas day and enjoy the festive season! roll on the 29th!

Simple Storage.

Perspex Box - Muji

When I was out Christmas shopping over the weekend I popped into Muji to browse their storage section.

I’ve been looking for something to put my ever-growing jewellery collection in for a while. I have a necklace hanger that I got a couple of Christmases ago from my sister Debbie, but I needed something to put my rings and earrings in. I wanted something unfussy looking, as my bedside table is already full of elaborate items such as my lamp, mirror, cake stand and teapot.

I was hoping to find a Perspex box as I currently keep my make-up brushes in a clear sweet jar, so I thought it would look cute if they matched.

And low and behold I found the perfect little box and it was only £8.50! It’s so simple and unfussy, a perfect addition to my little table.

Have a fab night guys, I’m off to have a big ol' bubble bath.

Oh, Lola! And More...

As you may have already seen, I began to compile my Christmas list quite early this year compared to most other human, and on that list was Oh, Lola! by Marc Jacobs (you can see in this previous blogpost).

I fell in love with this perfume after rubbing a magazine that contained the sample on myself. I was hooked, I’d spray it on me whenever I walked past it in a department store and drop hints to my boyfriend about how amazing it smelt (went right over his head). When I was on my way to Barcelona, I was going to buy it in duty free but didn’t want to spend my travel money before I got there, and then our flight back was to Luton, the duty free was WHACK and they didn’t have it. Gutted.

Anyhow, uni life took over, books, food, travel, blah blah blah… equals not having money and it ending up on my Christmas list.

Howevs, my mum brought it back for me as a surprise after a trip and made a very happy Keeks! I love how fresh it smells, floral yet kind of fruity at the same time. Mmmmmm…

Also today Mumma Reid bought me this beaut from the chemist! I thought she picked it up in Boots or Superdrug, but nope it was from the bargain bin in the chemist. It’s exactly like the lovely shower gels from Philosophy but a fraction of the price and smells AMAZING! Exactly like raspberry sorbet. Wish I could do a scratch and sniff screen so you could experience it.

In other news, I gots my hair did on Monday and the last picture is to show you how truly lovely it is to feel my scalp again without any afro regrowth!

All I Want For Christmas...

My lovely boyfriend asked me for my Christmas list at the end of last week and it basically sparked my super excitement for the season to be jolly! aka CHRISTMAS! The boyfriend and I get so psyched for this time of the year because his birthday is on Christmas day and mine is 4 days later on the 29th so December is really thee month for us!

The YSL ring is really just me trying my luck...

This is very much my condensed list as it also includes a guitar, a shopping spree in general, series 3&4 of The O.C, more MAC make up and a course of teeth whitening.

Has anyone else thought about Christmas pressies yet? Ahhh excitement!!

Happy Monday Evenin' Guys
