Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Marie Antoinette - Review

I wish you could have all seen me when I got my hands on this piece of Charlotte Tilbury goodness! Luckily I was in the presence of my Beauty Editor so she completely understood why I was so very happy - I think had it been a non beauty addict they would have written me off as a complete loon.

Anywho the above bad boy is the Charlotte Tilbury Eye to Mesmerise in Marie Antoinette and I love it! The formula is uber creamy and blendable but sets pretty quickly and does not budge or crease - it's a lot more mousse-like than a cream shadow like the M.A.C Paint Pots.

The below pic is a sheer coat of it that I applied just with my fingers. I prefer applying products with my fingers when first trying them as you get a feel for the texture, however this product definitely creates a more perfected, statement finish when applied and worked in with a blending brush. You really don't need much per use so I'm expecting this to last a while, which is grand because it really is a bit of a splurge.

On a lighter skin tone I imagine this to be a lot more striking, but on my colouring it's quite sheer, a perfect accompaniment to a soft brown liner and lashings of mascara.

Bourjois 12 Hour Aqua Blush

Bourjois Aqua Blushes in Berry Nice, Cocoricorail and Pink Twice

Ahhh cream blushes... does make-up get more summery than fresh-looking, dewy skin? The answer is no, and Bourjois have got you cover in the dewy department with the launch of their 12 Hour Aqua blushes.

The blushes will be launching nationwide in June, and be prepared to swoon (#poet)

The formula - A super-blendable creamy gel texture, that you need a pump of to do both cheeks, the formula is definitely buildable too if you prefer a heavier blush.

The colour range - There are four colours in the range, however only one, when blended, that is visible on my dark complexion, which is slightly annoying (Berry  Nice for reference).

I'm really impressed with the formula of these blushes, and their staying power is great (I'm not exactly sure about 12 hours...) it's just a shame that there aren't deeper colours for darker skin-tones.

You can grab the Bourjois Aqua Blushes nationwide from June

The NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

The NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, £33

The claim - The oil-free formula delivers natural looking coverage with a weightless, 16 hour wear. The foundation is ideal for all skin types and tones and is available in 20 global shades. The even tone technology immediately neutralises redness, dullness and discolouration to improve skin's appearance over time. The new packaging features an advanced pump that dispenses the exact amount of product needed for the entire face.

Reality – Ok so you probably saw me waffle on about this is in my January Favourites video – but I friggin’ love this foundation. When I first tried it I was definitely slightly dubious, when I applied a pump of it with my buffing brush, it took a while to settle on my face and just didn’t sit right. But that’s because I was applying way too much. While a pump is the perfect amount for most foundations, this beauty, which had a pretty runny consistency, needs less than that to create a flawless finish. For me just over half a pump does my whole face; I dot it on in five places (forehead, both cheeks, nose and chin) and then buff it in. When used correctly, you are left with a beautiful glowy complexion that's not too dewy at all, but not matte. I'm so obsessed.
