Rituals - Laughing Buddha Range

I'm not really a person to spend crazy amounts on bath and shower stuff - it is literally money down the drain. However, when I get a recommendation from Zoe (my bestie who as the beauty writer for The Sunday Mirror supplement, Notebook, is basically the beauty whisperer) I take it really seriously.

So as we perused the beauty hall of Debenhams looking for something the spend the remainder of my birthday vouchers she told me I HAD to get something from the Rituals Laughing Buddha range. Despite my reservations and general preference to not spending more than £3 on shower gel, I opted for the shower foam, I mean I had a voucher, so I wasn't spending real money. I bought it, lathered up that night and oh my good lord it sparked a need for the entire range. When it finished (which took a good month, so you do get your money's worth, guys) I not only repurchased the foam but also the oil and the scrub.

This range has the whole package. It smells incred (warm and citrus-y), feels luxurious and leaves your skin ridiculously soft and moisturised. It is on the pricier side of things (the oil and the foam are £8.50 each and the scrub is £19) but if you are in the market for a touch of luxe in the bathroom, you needn't look any further.

black|Up - Matte Lipstick Review.

black|Up Matte Lipsticks - £16 each Available from debenhams.com

I'm not going to lie, before I started work at the magazines, there were many hair and makeup brands I hadn't really heard of - and black|Up was one of my new discoveries. The range is aimed at woman of colour, to offer us makeup colours and formulas that suit our skin tones, that of which we might not be able to find so readily on the high street.

While I'm not overly keen on the brand name, I am in love with the makeup, and these lipsticks are swoon-worthy (I just made that a word). I gave the second lipstick from the right a test-drive on Mother's Day when we took my mumma out to Jamie's Italian for lunch. I had the burger (it was all kinds of epic) and my lipstick was still in tact after. That is true staying power right there.

Whatever your skin tone if you're looking for a quality, bold, matte lipstick I would highly recommend black|Up. It's the real deal.
