Benefit They're Real - £19.50 // Shu Uemera Eyelash Curlers - £20
Hello there!
So first of all I must confess, in total I spent £10 on this combo that I'm now kind of obsessed with. Here's how; despite all the hype around Benefit They're Real, I was unyielding, I wasn't going to cave and buy it out of intrigue and experience the wonders of this lash-enhancing must-have because I couldn't justify spending nearly £20 on a mascara - especially one with a plastic brush. This was exactly the same with the cult lash tool that is the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers - because, I naively thought, who needs eyelash curlers?
Turns out I did! Well need is a strong word right? But they definitely help my long straight lashes have a little bend. My curiosity got the better off me and when I remembered that I had a £10 Selfridges voucher left over from my birthday, I decided that they were to be mine. For just £10. Score.
As for They're Real, I really really wasn't going to buy it, but then I tried the little teeny sample that came with Elle Magazine and gradually fell a bit in love. But still I couldn't bring myself to buy it, so when I went to the Cosmo Careers Masterclass, I couldn't believe my luck when I found a full size mascara in my goody bag.
I'm not gonna lie, the fact that these cost me a fraction of the price in total, makes me love them that little bit more. And to be honest, as much as I do adore They're Real, when this one becomes a thick clumpy mess, I don't know if I'll purchase it because, seriously, what recent graduate can justify spending £19.50 on a mascara?
Love Keeks xo
